About Me

I studied film and TV at Aberystwyth University, and got my first job through MFJF as a receptionist at a film school! From there, I worked on reception at a massive VFX company, which was very cool, but not necessarily the area of the industry I wanted to end up in. I stepped away in favour of doing a couple of development internships. The people I met through those led me to reading for book-to-film scouts, and by chance, one of them needed an assistant. I worked my way up, to eventually become a book scout myself, as well as operations manager for one of the premier scouting agencies in the country. Almost six years later, I have amazing relationships with both scouts and producers. I have my first book deal (for a book that, using my contacts, I would love to see adapted one day). And I run a course on reading and writing coverage for film and TV adaptation, called Cover to Coverage. My advice is to just stay in the game. You never know where the next contact, conversation (or piece of book coverage) could lead.
