Martin Mansell

I've worked in television for over 30 years specifically Outside broadcasts. I have been lucky enough to work on most of the big sporting events around the world such as football World cups, Olympics etc. I started as staff at BBC OB's where I did both PSC and OB's working on golf, tennis athletics, proms, Glastonbury etc. I have also worked on royal weddings, royal funerals, state events etc, so across many genres. I regularly supervise shows which can involve planning from an early stage.In recent years I have specialised in lighting OB studios such as Euros football finals, Olympics athletics, Paralympic athletics, World athletics and am currently planning the lighting for both the BBC and Ch4 for their Winter Olympic/ Paralympic studios in Cortina next year. I would love to pass on some of my experience and hopefully help someone just starting out in the industry.
