Julia is a costume designer working across film, television and commercials. She trained in costume at the acclaimed London College of Fashion and began her career with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she developed a strong foundation in both period and contemporary costume.
Following her early career in theatre, Julia built extensive on-set experience across the costume department, working as a costume standby on major feature films and as a costume supervisor on high-end television drama, including The Last Kingdom. This experience across large-scale productions informs her work as a designer and brings a practical understanding of the demands of costume for screen.
Her design credits include the award-winning and BAFTA nominated Notes on Blindness, the Netflix feature Father Christmas is Back, Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop, and ITV’s Grace.
Julia is known for her collaborative approach and strong visual storytelling, creating character-driven costume design that supports performance and narrative.
