1984, Having studied at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University in Tbilisi (2021-2026), I enrolled in the 16mm filmmaking programme of the New York Film academy in London (2007). I completed my Master of Arts degree under the mentorship of renowned Hungarian film director Bela Tarr at the Sarajevo Film Academy / film.factory programme (2013-2015). Since 2007, I have been working as a film director and have produced several short films, no-budget experimental films, documentaries and visual installations, which were screened at various international film festivals. 2015 - 2023 I have been working for the Georgian National Film Center (funding institution) as the head of international/film export department, dealing with the promotion/festivals/sales of the latest Georgian titles internationally, while organizing Georgian pavilions at the Cannes, Berlin, Annecy and Toronto IFF and being able of getting significant experience with the coproduction's and communication/negotiation skills. Last year, I tried myself into production department working as the executive producer of the Georgian-Croatian-French feature film project "Antique" directed by Rusudan Glurjidze, (coming in 2024), as well as I have been doing line production of the upcoming feature film project by George Ovashvili, "The Moon Is a Father Of Mine" (coproduction of Georgia-Luxemburg-Germany-Czech Rep. - Turkey - Bulgaria). Also I was supposed to work for the upcoming feature film "Guria" by Levan Koguashvili, however, I have had to leave to New-York. From my early years of working at the Georgian Public Broadcaster and many different local TV stations, I have a big experience of sound recording and sound directing on set. As for the film directing, I have a few short films on my account and currently, I am develops my debut feature film with the working title - “No Place Like Home" .
