Evie Rose Hillier

Reference Letter for Evie Hillier | March 26th 2024 | To whom this may concern, It is a great pleasure to recommend Evie Hillier. I have known Evie since she started studying film at the Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh, where I was a Lecturer and the programme director for the BA Film. Evie Hillier just graduated last year with a First with Honours. I had the opportunity to witness her development from her initial film to her graduation piece, titled What Lies Between Us. Her graduation film travelled to multiple festivals and was recently nominated for Best Costume Design at The Watersprites Film Festival- the biggest student Film Festival in the world with over 1700 applicants. Hillier not only directed her short film, additionally she was also the Production Designer for this project and was closely involved with Costume Design. I have always known Evie Hillier to be a supportive team member and hardworking student. Next to working on her own graduation piece, she supported the graduation films of her peers. For example, she worked in the Art Department for the short film by her classmate Lucas Melian. This short film just received a Camera award at The Royal Television Society. At present Hillier is working as a Teacher at a Playgroup, leading Theatre Arts Classes and Prop Building for early years. I strongly believe that Evie Hillier is an outstanding candidate.
