Sonia Wargacka (she/her) is a storytelling powerhouse—part high-end TV production pro, part activist, and 100% dedicated to making an impact.
Based in Bristol for the past decade, Sonia has worked on some of the biggest TV hits, including Sex Education (Netflix), Industry (BBC/HBO), His Dark Materials (BBC/HBO), and Wolf Hall (BBC). But her passion goes beyond prestige productions—she’s all about stories that spark change.
She produced the award-winning Bristol feature documentary Rave On for the Avon, earning a four-star review from The Guardian, which praised it as "joyous" and declared, "Campaigning never looked so fun and friendly as it does in this joyous documentary about Bristol’s clean water campaigners". Sonia also produced Hungry Joe, an award-winning horror short featured on Short of the Week, and What Was She Wearing?, a bold, necessary film tackling sexual harassment and toxic masculinity in schools—both directed by another powerful Bristolian, Paul Holbrook.
In 2018, Sonia co-founded DoesItFeelGood.com, a global social impact video production company with her partner Ben Davies. Their work has taken them across five continents, creating films that amplify social enterprises, female empowerment summits, and organizations championing employment for minorities.
When she’s not producing, Sonia is always expanding her skills—she earned a Master's in Humanitarianism, Conflict, and Development at the University of Bath, blending academia with action, and is currently training to become a certified yoga instructor. She’s also a familiar face on Polish TV as a presenter for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, Poland’s biggest non-profit supporting pediatric and elderly care.
Sonia’s career is a testament to the power of storytelling—to entertain, to challenge, and to drive real-world impact. Whether she’s behind the camera or on screen, one thing’s for sure: her stories stick with you.
