Prop Maker Apprentice

The National Theatre is looking for a Prop Maker Apprentice.

As a Prop Maker in the performing arts, you'll be responsible for creating all types of props, specifically furniture and set dressing that set the scene of a live stage show. You'll also be taught a wider set of prop making skills and have the opportunity to attend dress rehearsals of the shows that you have worked on.

You'll be working from designs, working drawings, and models, and with instructions from Designers, Production Managers, Workshop Supervisors and the Props Workshop Manager and senior props staff.

You will study a Level 2 Standard in General Furniture Manufacture.

Previous experience is not required, training will be provided.

If you enjoy making things and would like to work in the creative industries then this will be a excellent experience and many of these skills are transferrable to the Film and TV industry.
