  • I'm someone who has always been in love with visual effects and image manipulation, from discovering Photoshop at a young age and my first foray into the art of visual effects not much later I have always loved this side of film making. This had lead me to get an A-level in film studies, in which I based my early individual productions on Visual Effects which really got me thirsty to learn more about this industry. I then graduated with a BA Hons in Digital Film Production and through my three years at university I always tried to use visual effects as much as possible in any production I was involved in. Discovering Nuke in my second year really accelerated my passion as I immediately fell in love with the program and its workflow. Yes I had used other programs such as After Effects but something about Nuke really struck me as brilliant and I made sure to learn to use it. Even though there's still more for me to learn through self taught experimentation, reading books, tutorials from others and ones I've found online. I'm eager to improve my knowledge of the program and have recently paid for a subscription to the online tutorials found on Pluralsight which I have found invaluable in their teachings. I've recently completed my second semester working as a camera operator and technician for the Acting for Film course at Chichester University, rounding off the year with a week long shoot in east London for the students assessments. Although this part time work is still in the realms of video production, which I love, I'm still yearning to be part of the Visual Effects Industry and spend my spare time planning and producing little projects of my own. Waiting for opportunities to jump into the career path that I truly yearn for.
