Competition Rules

By entering the Best Animated Character Competition, you can showcase your creativity and technique. We are looking for 3D character animations which can be from your existing portfolio of work, or, if you fancy the challenge, you can create something new and exciting for Judge Alex Williams to view. Alex is a cartoonist and animator, who has worked on productions such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, The Lion King, The Iron Giant, the three latest Harry Potter films, and The Chronicles of Narnia. So what can you create to catch his eye?

• Keep your clip under 10 seconds

• Deadline 23rd November.

• Next taster session 2nd December held at the Shepherd's Bust Studio.

• The taster day includes lunch.

Terms and Conditions:

• To enter this competition you should be over 18 years of age.

• You will know your entry has been submitted via your dashboard. Your entry should appear on the competition page also.

• All applicants will be notified if they are successful or unsuccessful.

• If the closing date has passed, you will not be able to submit applications to the above competition.

• By entering the competition you are agreeing to have your work published on the website and associated marketing.

• Applicants are responsible for any expenses that they incur in entering the competition and that they will not be reimbursed regardless of whether or not they win the competition.

• By entering this competition you confirm you are the creator of the film with all relevant permissions and rights including music. If made in collaborations with others, you confirm you have their permission to enter the competition.

• My First Job in Film reserve the right to disqualify any entrants or entries where we reasonably suspect any unlawful or improper conduct, such as infringing a third party’s intellectual property rights, or if there has otherwise been a breach of the competition terms and conditions.

• Feedback and taster session to be taken at a time of mutual convenience.
