I am Ash, a filmmaker and enthusiast who just moved from Hong Kong to the UK, now an MA student in Manchester Metropolitan University. To me, filmmaking has been an experience of discovery - whether by creating immersive experiences through storytelling, or participating in the process of creation. Throughout the past 6 years of making films, most of my experiences lied in writing, directing and editing, but having spent ample time in most other departments, from art and camera to production and sound, I have grown a love for each and every finer position. Nothing is more delightful to me than weaving a story together bit by bit, bringing out its potential through the magic of collaboration - bringing dreams to life. It was with these creative passions and ambitions that I arrived to a new country, hoping to carve a new path where I can build dreams for a living.
