I am a London based filmmaker and writer. I completed an undergraduate MA degree in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, where I took additional courses in film studies and playwriting, among others. After graduating, I spent a year building a modest film portfolio, in order to apply for a degree in filmmaking. I completed a Master's degree in Directing Fiction at Queen Mary University of London, and was awarded a distinction for my dissertation film project. I am interested in avant-garde, strange and unusual film, horror and sci-fi, and extreme cinema. Some of my strongest cinematic influences are David Lynch and Robert Eggers, but my writing is influenced by avant-garde mid-century playwrights of the Theatre of the Absurd, such as Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter. I am especially interested in the juxtaposition of tragedy and/or horror and comedy. I am also interested in fashion, costume and design, and art department positions in the film industry. I have worked part-time in a busy central London wine & artisan foods deli for the last two years, which has given me plenty of experience with dealing with difficult people, working as a team, team management, and dealing with high stress environments. In my free time, I am interested in fitness, photography, watercolour painting, and reading. I am currently working towards gaining my driver's license.

The Doppelganger

My first film. I made this as part of the Royal Conservatoire's short film course (one week). It was written, shot and edited in 24 hours, with no equipment.
