I am a 23-year-old filmmaker based in London, with a unique blend of scientific insight and creative storytelling, thanks to my background in biomedical science from the University of Sussex. This analytical foundation fuels my curiosity and drives my approach to filmmaking, allowing me to seamlessly blend technical proficiency with a passion for stories that move and inspire. From the start of my filmmaking career, I’ve been dedicated to crafting narratives that evoke deep emotions and spotlight underrepresented perspectives, particularly from diverse communities. My debut short film, which won the EVCOM Clarion Award, showcased my commitment to impactful, socially conscious storytelling. I’m inspired by films like The Farewell, The Iron Claw, Lion, and La Haine—works that resonate emotionally and culturally, pushing me to create films that are both compelling and significant. I’ve had the privilege to work with incredible talents, including David Bradley (Game of Thrones, Harry Potter), Asma Khan (Netflix’s Chef’s Table), and Eshaan Akbar (Netflix’s Sex Education). My work extends to meaningful documentary projects, such as those for Cleaner Steps and EMHIP, where I’ve told stories that not only entertain but also empower and inform. With a versatile skill set spanning directing, cinematography, editing, and colour grading, I bring a technically skilled and creatively insightful approach to every project. My commitment is to foster a collaborative and supportive environment on set, where every team member feels valued and motivated to contribute their best. As I continue my journey, I’m eager to collaborate on larger-scale projects and work with major production companies, and I am committed to making every project my best one yet, constantly pushing myself to learn and grow as a filmmaker. Let’s connect and explore how we can create impactful stories together.
