My name is Anna Sving and I am a Norwegian filmmaker born and raised in Oslo. I am at the very beginning of my career, but my passion for film has been with me for as long as I can remember. I have always been fascinated by the way a film can make you feel seen, understood, or transported to a new world even if only for a moment. Much of my creative curiosity revolves around internal questions of identity and how these shape our relationships with others. I am drawn to stories that explore the emotional spaces between people and the quiet moments that reveal who we are. Through making student films in Norway and the UK, I have explored a wide range of roles within the filmmaking process. I quickly discovered that I genuinely enjoy the administrative and organisational side of production by coordinating, planning, and supporting a team throughout the entire process. I take pride in helping others do their best work, ensuring they have what they need, and being a reliable, steady presence on set. I’ve gained experience in this through university projects as well as internships and placements throughout my education. At the same time, I am deeply motivated by the creative side of filmmaking by crafting a story, shaping its emotional core, and bringing it to life visually. Balancing both the practical and creative aspects of film is something I value, and I hope to continue developing in roles that allow me to grow in both areas. I am particularly interested in roles within production, development, and creative collaboration, and my long term ambition is to contribute to films that explore identity, connection, and human vulnerability. I’m eager to learn, open to new challenges, and excited to continue building my experience in the industry.
