About Rory

I’m a Digital Film Production student who genuinely loves storytelling and the creativity that comes with bringing ideas to life. Film has always been something that excites me—from shaping a narrative in the edit to watching a team’s hard work come together on screen. I’m especially passionate about editing, where every cut and creative choice can spark emotion, strengthen meaning, and turn raw footage into something memorable. Through my university projects, I’ve been lucky to explore everything from short films to documentaries, gaining hands-on experience in set dressing, continuity, camera reports, and collaborative editing in DaVinci Resolve. I love the energy of a film set and the feeling of working with people who share the same enthusiasm. Whether I’m organising props, keeping track of equipment, or refining a sequence in the edit, I’m happiest when I’m contributing to something visual, creative, and meaningful. My previous roles in fast-paced customer environments have helped me develop strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. I’ve learned how to stay calm, supportive, and focused even when things get hectic—qualities that translate naturally onto a film set. I really enjoy working with others, building positive relationships, and creating an atmosphere where everyone feels motivated and valued. Outside of film, I’m inspired by photography, drawing, music, and sport— interests that fuel my creativity and shape the way I see the world. I love learning new things, pushing myself creatively, and exploring fresh ideas that help me grow as a filmmaker and as a person. Right now, I’m excited to keep building my portfolio, connect with other creatives, and take on opportunities that challenge me in the best way. I bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive attitude to every project, and I’m always open to collaborating with people who love what they do
