I'm Adam Pitcher, a pop-culture enthusiast with a love for all things film and a recent graduate of Northumbria University's Film and TV Production course, currently looking to find my start in the industry as an editor. I have experience primarily in editing short form drama films but also in editing short documentaries, stage play proof of concepts and also promotional material from both inside and outside of my time spent at university. Through these projects I have built a strong knowledge of both Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Media Composer programs and have developed a strong working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve. I have also shown an ability to confidently colour grade and mix audio across most of the projects I have completed and having taken on a number of production roles in my time at university, have developed a sound understanding of the production workflow from beginning to end. I have a keen interest in VFX composition, something that I continue to learn on my own in my spare time using online tutorials for programs such as Adobe After Effects and Blender, often learning how I can recreate some of my favourite effects from films, whether it be the opening title sequence of Alien or green screen miniature effects such as those seen in Star Wars. Outside of film, I also have a number of years experience working in the Virgin Money HQ across their transfer centre, credit cards and current accounts departments as well as working behind the bar at the Block and Tackle in Ashington and also in the Co-Op as a team member.
