Hi, I’m Jacob Williams – I’m 23, a filmmaking graduate from Manchester Met, and someone who’s always tried to have my foot in the creative world. I actually started out in photography, which gave me a real love for storytelling through visuals. That naturally led me into filmmaking, where I felt like I’d found my thing. Coming from North Wales, where the creative scene can feel pretty limited, I was eager to be in a place buzzing with ideas and opportunities – so I made my way to Manchester and never looked back. I’ve never been the most academic person, but I’ve always found my strength in working with others. Being part of a team, bouncing ideas around, problem-solving on the fly – that’s where I come alive. I love getting stuck in, whether it’s building lighting setups, shaping a story, or figuring out how to bring a project to life from start to finish. What keeps me excited is the variety – different people, different stories, different challenges. I’m always up for learning something new, and I try to bring good energy, a creative mindset, and a collaborative spirit to whatever I’m working on. What I enjoy most is being part of a team where everyone brings something different to the table — learning from each other and pushing the project forward together.
