After several years working in fashion buying and production, I realised I was craving more hands-on work and decided to gain some knowledge and experience in set design and dressing, scenic painting and floristry, as well as working on film sets as a runner. The shift in work was a great new challenge and gave me the space and time to make new contacts and learn within different fields. I’ve worked on a variety of jobs, including, scenic painting and prop styling, foliage dressing and assisting with production. I’ve also had the opportunity to work in workshops, derigging events, and being on-site, giving me a solid understanding of the practical aspects of set construction and design and the work involved with event and film setup. With a background in product development, buying, logistics, and production, I’m used to managing large workloads and working to tight deadlines. My previous management roles have taught me how to work effectively in teams, coordinate across different areas, and keep projects on track. I am friendly and a creative thinker - always interested in learning something new and taking on new challenges. I have recently started teaching myself how to restore furniture and make jewellery.
