When I was a young kid my Grandad would take me to the cinema every weekend and I couldn't wait to enter that dark auditorium, smell the popcorn and get lost in a new world. It planted a seed within me that has just kept growing and flourishing over time. My interest and passion for this amazing industry grew and grew, never wavering, and I know that's it's what I want to be involved in hopefully for the rest of my life's career if given the chance. Over the last 6 or 7 years I've managed to build a very successful career in private teaching and childcare for families, which has given me so many opportunities to travel all around the globe and experience new cultures, and gain an invaluable perspective on the world. Through all that however, one thing remained present. My burning love for cinema, watching films at every given opportunity, and one day hoping I would be brave enough to leave a successful career behind and make the move into what I know will allow me to feel the most fulfilled and happy. Waking up every day doing something I love. Over the years I've gained tons of knowledge about the industry and production and post production, simply through staying so engaged with the world of film. I studied Film and Media during my A-Levels and even Production/Post Production at University for a short while, and also attended the BFI Film Academy during college. I particularly enjoy writing my own scripts and stories in my spare time, attending film festivals, engaging with others in the film community and writing hundreds of my own reviews using the Letterboxd app (of which I spend way too much time on!) I hope to now channel that passion and desire to try and gain an entry level role in the industry, and build my way up as I know I have so much value to add, and knowledge I'm hungry to learn!
