I am an emerging film editor and writer-director. My passion for writing soon developed during my bachelor degree at Lisbon Theatre and Film School, where I matured my storytelling voice through a specialization on Screenwriting and Editing, before going onto my first director endeavors, during my Masters in Film Directing at the University of South Wales (Cardiff, UK). I wrote, directed and edited both documentary and fiction short films: In 2022, my short film "In a House, At Night" premiered at Soho London Film Festival moving onto the independent Festival circuit, being referenced at the acclaimed Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market and winning "Best Newcomer" at South Coast Film Festival. My documentary, "Coming and Going", won an award for "Best Documentary" and screened at Miami Shorts International Film Festival. I was one of the Biennal of Contemporary Arts participants in the Film Workshop "Spirits, Shadows and Reflections" lead by award-winning Director João Salaviza and co-wrote a short film accepted at a Cannes Film Festival Supporting Programme. My ambition is to become a professional Feature Film Editor and through that path, become a greater writer-director in my personal projects. I'm experienced in Adobe Premiere Pro and Da Vinci Resolve (Studio user) and I'm studying Avid Media Composer at the moment. As an editor, I seek for the unglimpsed possibilities in the raw material, being known for my creative flair, self-initiative, organization and as an enthusiastic collaborator. My editing experience extends from shorts films to social media content for a Film Podcast and Trailer Making, the latter which includes my participation in the Editfest 2023 Editing Comptetiton.
