About Luyao
Hello everyone, I am currently a MA directing student MetFilm school. Prior to this, I have accumulated two years of experience in filmmaking, including roles as a director, script supervisor, and editor. I have successfully directed two personal narrative short films and two experimental short films. Additionally, I have been involved in commercial advertising production and authored a book on filmmaking, published in China.
One of my personal works, "Heart Back Home," received the Best Student Film award at the Rome Short Film Festival and Best Debut at the New Wave Film Festival. Drawing from my experience in various roles within a film crew, I am attentive to every detail during shooting and foster a collaborative team atmosphere. I have a proven ability to handle unforeseen challenges on set.
I am eager to further enhance my practical filmmaking skills and contribute a fresh cultural perspective to film projects in the UK. I am confident that my diverse background and dedication to collaborative filmmaking will make a positive impact. Looking forward to meaningful collaborations!
