I am a half-Chinese, half-English creative with a penchant for adventure and a strong passion for technology. I was raised with a diverse cultural heritage that enabled me to delve into the rich histories of both nations, an opportunity I've wholeheartedly embraced. As an eager traveller, language lover and passionate food lover, I derive immense pleasure from connecting with people over food across the globe and discovering cultural gems in every corner of the world I visit. My fascination for technology has earned me a reputation as the go-to person for tech-related inquiries among my peers. I thrive on exploring cutting-edge technologies and pushing their limits. Growing up predominantly in England, English is my first language, yet I have cultivated a profound connection to my Chinese roots. From a young age, I diligently attended Chinese school in Birmingham, which honed my fluency in Chinese. Additionally, annual summer visits to my family in China provided the perfect environment for refining my language skills and achieving a more authentic fluency. My Family's roots trace back to Chengdu, located in the Southwest province of Sichuan. Notably, I first mastered the local dialect, Sichuanese (or Chengdu dialect), before becoming proficient in Mandarin. My journey into the film industry commenced as an extra in a short film, providing me with a first-hand experience of production on set. Despite my initial role as an extra, it provided me the opportunity to establish valuable connections with the crew, subsequently leading to roles as a film editor and a script supervisor for an independent film production company. Now, as a recent first-class graduate in VFX (Visual Effects), I am enthusiastically looking forward to the continuation of my dynamic journey in the film industry. I look forward to being able to use my background and diverse interests within collaboration projects to provide a unique voice to the industry.
