From a young age, I have been mesmerised by performance. With the ambition to act, I attend a stage school, a performing arts college and a part-time drama school. But since deciding to study Film and TV production at UAL, I have fallen in love with the development and production side of the art and spent the last 2 and half years immersing myself with studies and research, as well as involving myself with small projects and related work outside of uni. At the end of 1st year, I decided to cold email as many production companies as possible with hopes to gain some work expereince over the summer. This led me to the post-production house OkayStudio in Dalston. After completing work experience, I was offered a freelance runner contract which I eagerly undertook. Balancing working in the industry of my choice with uni was challenging, but I loved every moment. I realised I had found my place with like minded creatives and loved to learn new things each day about the whole process of post-production. Through my time at uni and working at OkayStudio, I have discovered my passion to be within producing, as well in development. I am currently in the midst of my final major project, curating a pitch deck for a 6 part drama. I am excited by trialling and erroring with the development of stories and ideas, and also take much enjoyment out of created the pitch deck itself. I am constantly looking to improve my Adobe skills - which have developed hugely since joining uni and OkayStudio. Looking ahead a few months, post-graduating, I am seeking to find a production assistant job, or an assisting job in development. I am open and willing to take on whatever I seek and excited to continue on my path to working full time in Film and TV.
