I'm Liv. I freelance as an editor, videographer and self-shooting director. I am also currently enjoying working as a director's assistant, runner and PA to artist and film director, Katya Ganfeld. I've worked on independent docs for the past four years in Spain and Seoul. One feature doc project (which I'm co-directing with my friend and colleague) is now in development with a London-based documentary company, which I'm hoping to have the financial backing to continue next year. In the meantime, I'm looking for opportunities to work on fictional and documentary features and shorts. I want to learn more about the process of crafting films, from scripting and development, to gaining insight into on-set life. Through these experiences, I hope to find my way to achieving my personal goal of writing and directing my own shorts and feature films. As a person I'm warm, personable and effective. I value collaboration, compassion, humour and hard work. I'm motivated by the process of making films: I enjoy exercising my imagination; researching; shaping and developing stories; problem solving and finding ways to make a project come to life, in spite of the challenges that may present themselves. I also enjoy the social aspect of filmmaking, whether as part of a big team or as a two person collaborative project. Building strong relationships and fruitful collaborations, sharing knowledge and learning from the people I I've worked with has been a fundamental part of what keeps me interested in working in film.
