About Simon

I am a filmmaker, having completed the Filmmaking MA at the Northern Film School, and now developing production independently with a base in Yorkshire. My short film productions, as producer or director, have achieved over 100 festival screenings, and a number of awards, including a student Academy Award in 2014. I am looking for a breadth of experience in professional production, especially associated with direction, production, or production design. I am happy to take everything from runner roles upward in order to develop a thorough understanding of professional practice, and to build good working relationships in the region. I am a highly creative and critical filmmaker, and especially have something to offer in the development of story and script. Beyond entry level roles, I would like to extend my skills into script supervision and directing. I am a mature and responsible individual, with a deeply committed work ethic and a commitment to the success of every project. Having produced, I have always understood that every element of production, however small, is vital to a successful film.
