About Reece

I'm a 28-year-old, London-based Black British, multi-disciplinary artist, director, producer, screenwriter, editor and 2022 Prince William BAFTA Bursary recipient. I have studied practical fillmaking and screenwriting at Met Film school and Raindance. My most successful short film is my proof of concept, graduation short film called THE HOOD, which I wrote, directed, produced and edited when I was 19 and studying for the Cert/HE in Practical Filmmaking at Met Film School. THE HOOD has amassed over 1.9 million YouTube views to date. In 2015, I was selected by the National Youth Film Academy for their series "NYFA TOP 5", which showcased their five favourite UK film directors under the age of 25. This was broadcast on all four of the "Made TV" regional TV channels. I've previously been mentored by BAFTA Winning producer "Dominic Buchanan", music video director "Rollo Jackson", producer and script consultant "Alby James OBE" and "Jessica Loveland" who's Head of New Writing at BBC. I have experience in directing and editing short films, music videos and working as a freelance video editor, photographer, camera operator, production assistant and runner. I've previously been selected as 1 of the 40 emerging writers, directors, and producers, on the British Independent Film Awards 2021 - 2022 mentoring programme. I've also recently joined the Sara Putts Foundation scheme and been awarded by BAFTA the 2022 Prince William BAFTA Bursary.
