Let's not mince words, finding a foothold in the film industry can be really hard work. Your success is built on lots of mini - if not micro - steps; building up knowledge, experience and contacts over months for some and years for others. 

The production office is one of the most popular career paths, but what does it take to start finding success on larger budget productions? What ground work do you need to lay to make sure your application stands out? 

MFJF member Amber shares some of her sage advice on how she built up her experience, enabling her to find work on major productions.
